Optimum Planlama was founded by Dr. İlker Güçlü in 2011.

Dr. Guclu is an Industrial Engineer and an experienced consultant in Demand Planning & Forecasting, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP/IBP), Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Inventory and Logistics Planning.

Dr. Guclu, born in İzmir, has been qualified in the top 0,01% percentile in nation-wide university entrance exams held in Turkey and studied in the Industrial Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University. He was named to the Dean's List.

After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in 2003 he started working as a full-time Researcher in TUBITAK Turkish Management Sciences Institute (TUSSIDE), where he took part in designing industrial training and consultancy programs.

He worked on technology, product and process development focused programs such as R&D Engineering, Innovative Product Development, Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), Quality Management (including Taguchi Robust Design, Statistical Process Control and Six Sigma) Performance Management and New Business Development (in cooperation with Istanbul Chamber of Industry, focused on strategic management, marketing and financial business planning).

Umut Alver Guclu is an Industrial Engineer with Master of Science degree. Between 2008-2022, she worked as manager in the Sales and Marketing departments of global technology companies. She started to work as Managing Partner at Optimum Planlama since 2022.

Umut Alver Guclu, born in Istanbul, studied secondary and high school at Notre Dame de Sion in Istanbul. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Galatasaray University Industrial Engineering and Boğaziçi University Industrial Engineering departments, respectively.

She started her professional career in Orange Business Services in 2008, where she has worked as Sales Operations Manager. She joined Diebold Inc. between in 2010 and worked as Account Manager and later promoted to Sales Manager. In 2015 she worked as OEM Marketing Manager in Microsoft Turkey. In 2015, she re-joined Diebold Inc. as the Country Sales Manager. In 2017 she became the Software Sales and Marketing Manager at Diebold Nixdorf.

In addition to hardware, software and service sales, Mrs. Guclu has many years of experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, sales operations, pricing and marketing.

She is married and has two children.
